Thanks, Mom!

So, it lives here in text until then!
Thanks, Mom!
The other day, when I woke,
I was feeling kind of funny.
With two crazy, jumpy legs
And a rumble in my tummy.
So, I jumped downstairs,
To see what I could have to eat.
I needed something really good
To stop the jumping in my feet!
Then I said, “Hey, Mom?
Can I have something that is yummy?”
She said, “Yes, Dear.
Let’s get you something for that tummy!”
I had waffles and oatmeal
And a great big pile of bacon.
And I ate it all up
To see if that would stop the aching.
Then, with a, "Thanks, Mom!"
I went out onto the lawn.
Where I played and I played
And I played and I played...
Until... "Uh, oh!"
I felt a grumble in my tummy
So, I said, "Hey, Mom!
Can I have something that is yummy?"
She said, "Yes, dear.
Put down your stick and wooden hoop,
Because for lunch... we're having...
Chicken noodle soup!"
BLOOP! BLOOP! BLOOP!
I put some crackers in my soup.
And with a SLURP! and a MUNCH!
I ate up all my lunch.
Then, with a, "Thanks, Mom!"
I went back out to the lawn.
Where I played and I played
And I played and I played.
Until... "Uh, oh!"
I felt a grumble in my tummy
So, I said, "Hey, Mom!
Can I have something that is yummy?"
She said, "Yes, dear.
Wash your hands and sit up nice.
Because for dinner... we're having...
Chicken, beans and rice!"
I said, "Yahoo!
That's my favourite kind of food!"
And I ate it all up
'Cause it was really, really good!
Then, with a, "Thanks, Mom!"
I went back out to the lawn.
Where I played and I played
And I played and I played.
Until... "Uh, oh!"
I had a great... big... YAWN!
That's what happens when you spend
All day out playing on the lawn!
So, I jumped upstairs
Brushed my teeth and got in bed.
I fluffed up my comfy pillow,
Then laid down my sleepy head.
Then, with a, "Night, Mom!"
Closed my eyes and fell asleep.
And I dreamed and I dreamed
And I dreamed and I dreamed...
THE END
