The Windy Llama

I’m not sure how to say this.

I’m not sure what to say.

But, something very odd

Happens to me every day.

You see, I have a llama.

And my llama likes to eat.

And, because I love my llama,

I love to give him treats.

Most llamas will eat different plants

And certain types of grass.

But, my llama only likes the foods

That tend to give him gas.

For example, big bananas

Are his favourite type of fruit.

But, the more bananas that he eats

The more he has to toot!

One day I gave him lots of

Yummy crispy, juicy grapes.

But, then he spent the next few hours

Needing to deflate!

So, then I thought that apples

Would be something we should try.

He ate them up and bent right down

And let a big one fly!

I tried a watermelon,

Because it was thick skinned.

He really did enjoy it

But, it caused him to break wind.

Another day I brought home

Some sweet honey made by bees.

His mouth got really sticky.

Then he had to cut the cheese!

I even mixed some juices

In a great, big science beaker.

He drank it all and licked his lips

Then had a sneaky squeaker.

My friends had heard the stories.

And, they said they needed proof.

When he ate up all their carrots

From his backend came a POOF!

After he ate brussels sprouts

He was congratulated.

Then he looked me in the eye

And loudly flatulated.

As you can guess sometimes his wind

Does tend to clear the room.

Especially the ones that

Make a very loud, “KABOOM!”

Now, because I love my llama,

And I want him to feel good,

I began a list of windy foods

So I better understood.

That list has gotten very long,

And is continuing to grow.

It seems that almost everything

Will make his south winds blow.

But, I will always love my llama.

No matter what others may think.

Although I really must admit,

My llama sure does stink.
